Centre for Gender Studies
Since 1993 I have been teaching Gender Studies at Lund University in Sweden. I migrated to Sweden from the US in 1980 and have lived in Lund since then. My research interests have always been interdisciplinary and have focused on work, knowledge, gender, science and technology studies as well as the Third World studies in different constellations at different times. My degrees (MA and FL) are in sociology and previously I worked in Research Policy. More recently my research has also focused upon teaching gender studies and critical feminist pedagogy. Currently I work on a project "Gender perspectives on university education and academic disciplines". Being a member of the ATHENA network and working in the Travelling Concepts, have been important elements in furthering my interest in critical feminist pedagogy and learning.
